Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Vince Banger the Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Montgomery Missions, 3-2. Sikeston reliever Daniel Hernandez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-7. Lee Davidson was saddled with the loss. The Missions, now 72-45, have lost 4 straight.

Russ Philip was the walk-off hero for Sikeston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shamrocks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
