Mt. Vernon catcher Jay Lewis had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 6-3. The win elevated the Cyclones to 62-55.

Lewis had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Brad Porter, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Cyclones a 6-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Lewis.

Lewis called the win "a team effort."
