The Ontario Sunrays went home winners at Sunrays Field, thanks in large part to starter Chris Gonzalez. Gonzalez stifled the Sikeston Shamrocks, enabling Ontario to grab the 4-1 win. Gonzalez, the winner, moves to 2-4. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Harrison Tatta closed it out for his 6th save.

Chad Collett took Sikeston hurler Jesus Beltre deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Sunrays on top, 2-0. In all, Collett had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Collett told the Ontario Times.
