Shamrocks Handed 5-2 Loss by Ontario

The Ontario Sunrays picked up a win at Sunrays Field, dropping the Sikeston Shamrocks, 5-2. Quentin Dickson, who is tied for 5th in the SL2 in quality starts with 9, was the difference-maker. Ontario reliever Quentin Dickson got the win, raising his record to 6-6. Macho Martinez was tagged with the loss. The Sunrays improved their record to 44-71 by beating Sikeston.
Trent Slagle took Sikeston hurler Macho Martinez deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Sunrays on top, 3-0. In all, Slagle had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Dickson.
