Wranglers Lose at Home, 6-3, to Savannah
The Savannah Alpines handed the Newport News Wranglers a 6-3 defeat at Wranglers Stadium. Center Fielder Rafael Farrand starred for Savannah. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Alpines improved their record to 48-66 with the win over Newport News.

With Savannah trailing 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Farrand hit a slider from Kyoshi Kano for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Alpines ahead, 3-2.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Savannah manager Ryan Allen.
