The Cyclones grabbed a win, 5-2, at Mt. Vernon Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Santa Barbara pitcher Mike Pistorio. Pistorio went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Mt. Vernon is now 48-44, Santa Barbara 64-28.

First Baseman Omar Gatica made an impact for Mt. Vernon, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Mike Pistorio in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Gatica went 2-4 with a double.
