Niskayuna Wins, 4-2, Behind 2 Beck Home Runs
Led by 21-year-old Ken Beck, the Niskayuna Fighting Knights knocked off the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 4-2. Beck hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Fighting Knights. Alfredo Sanchez earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 7-4. Doug DeBauche earned the save for Niskayuna, his 2nd.

Beck had a timely hit for Niskayuna in the bottom of the eighth. With Niskayuna trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-1 curveball into a 3-run home run. It was his 28th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Niskayuna.

In postgame remarks, Beck hailed his team's "grit."

The victory gives the Fighting Knights a record of 57-57.
