Panthers Collect 3-2 Win Over Sunrays
Starting pitcher Hector Mendoza gave the Wichita Panthers a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Ontario Sunrays, 3-2, at Panthers Park. The win went to Danny Espinoza in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Brock Richardson took the loss. Wichita is 60-51 and Ontario, with the loss, 53-58.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Aaron Anderson, who is tied for 10th in the SL2 in extra base hits with 41, hit a run-scoring double. The Panthers went on to win.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Mendoza.
