Santa Barbara Carves Out 8-3 Win
The Newport News Wranglers got a sterling performance from pitcher Yekuno-Amlak Lusalah, but the Santa Barbara Super Troopers still prevailed, 8-3. Lusalah threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Steve Burger earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. The win for the Super Troopers raised their record to 63-25.

Santa Barbara catcher Roland Clement produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with J.D. Hennis on the mound and Santa Barbara leading 2-1. Clement drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
