Though he had a stellar game, Don Hutchison could not prevent his team, the Montgomery Missions, from losing, 9-5, to the Niskayuna Fighting Knights. Hutchison was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The last-place Fighting Knights now have a win-loss record of 44-43.

Niskayuna used the clutch hitting of Julio Vargas to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Fighting Knights the lead, 6-5. For the game, Vargas had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
