Green Knights Lose to Panthers in Walk-Off

Panthers Park played host to some exciting baseball.
Spring Park shortstop David Pantoja had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Pantoja was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, even as Wichita beat the Green Knights, 6-5. Eddie Clickner, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Wichita. That's when Bobby Sidener, who is tied for 5th in the SL2 with a .619 slugging percentage, hit a run-scoring double off Jim Unknown to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Sidener told the Wichita Daily.
Spring Park is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.
