Alpines Stumble, Lose 8-4 to Super Troopers
The home crowd had a good time watching the Savannah Alpines and Santa Barbara Super Troopers get after it.

Eric Propper was a vital contributor to the 8-4 Santa Barbara victory over Savannah. The Super Troopers third baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. J.J. Mendenhall finished to wrap up his 9th save.

In the bottom of the seventh, Propper put his team in front with his 21st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Jarrett Taylor, made it 6-4, Santa Barbara.

"This was a nice win for us," said Propper. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

Santa Barbara leads the Sub League 2 Central Division by 11 games.
