Propper Leads Charge, Santa Barbara Blasts Missions
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers handed the Montgomery Missions a sound defeat, 14-1, at Missions Grove. Eric Propper, who is tied for 2nd in the SL2 with a .688 slugging percentage, was a main contributor to the win. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Santa Barbara. Oscar Villasenor, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 6 hits in 4.1 innings. At 86-24, the Super Troopers are currently first in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

With Santa Barbara leading 11-1 in the top of the ninth, Propper batted against Montgomery pitcher Javier Torres. Propper hit a sinker to center for a bases-clearing double. His 19th double of the season put the Super Troopers on top, 14-1.
