Howard Leads Shamrocks to 7-5 Win Over Alpines
The Sikeston Shamrocks grabbed a win, 7-5, over the Savannah Alpines at Shamrocks Park. Sikeston center fielder Jayden Howard was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Daniel Hernandez finished the game for Sikeston and earned his 28th save. The victory gives Sikeston a record of 64-44.

Steve Benitez was 1 for 2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Sikeston. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Shu-de Khu. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
