The Wichita Panthers topped the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 6-4, at Panthers Park. Wichita right fielder Jim Cook was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Wichita has now won 3 in a row.

Aaron Anderson had a big 2-run double for the Panthers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Wichita leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a curveball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Gil Carroll and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 33rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Panthers ahead, 5-2.

Wichita manager Ross Meister commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
