Agin Lifts Shamrocks to 12-4 Win
A good performance from right fielder Bryan Agin helped the Sikeston Shamrocks defeat the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 12-4. Agin went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5 for the Shamrocks. Sikeston, at 62-24, occupies first place in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

The Shamrocks got a big hit from designated hitter Jake Hoffmann. Facing Niskayuna pitcher Ricky Flores in the top of the fifth, Hoffmann pounded a 2-run triple to left. His 3rd triple of the season put the Shamrocks ahead, 4-3.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Agin told the Sikeston Today. "It's as simple as that."
