Montgomery first baseman Paul Adam helped his team beat the Ontario Sunrays, 5-0. Adam went 1 for 4 for the Missions. Ontario's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Montgomery took a 5-0 lead on Adam's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Harrison Tatta in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Montgomery to the win.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Adam told the Montgomery Times.
