Cyclones Claim 7-2 Triumph
The exploits of third baseman Leo Carballo, who is rated as the 44th best prospect by BNN, helped the Mt. Vernon Cyclones defeat the Savannah Alpines, 7-2. Carballo went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brian Pace picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 5-2. The second-place Cyclones now have a win-loss record of 56-51.
