Big Day for Goldbaek as Panthers Down Super Troopers, 10-5
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Wichita Panthers and Santa Barbara Super Troopers.

The Wichita Panthers topped the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 10-5, at Car Ramrod Park. Wichita first baseman Mikkel Goldbaek was a spark plug for the offense. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Wichita reliever Edwin Lozano picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Miguel Romero took the loss.

Wichita won the game in part because of Jimmy Johnson. The second baseman ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Panthers ahead, 4-0. For the game, Johnson had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Johnson told the Wichita Today.

Wichita occupies second place in the Sub League 2 Central Division at 55-48.
