The Sikeston Shamrocks took on the Montgomery Missions at Missions Grove.

The Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Montgomery Missions, 7-4, at Missions Grove. Leading the charge for Sikeston was left fielder Jose Yenores. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. Sikeston pitcher Miguel Suarez got the win. He's now 3-2. Jeff O'Donovan was tagged with the loss.

Sikeston used a clutch hit from Mario Ruiz to snatch the win. The first baseman belted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Yenores said.

Sikeston now owns a record of 45-57.
