Alpines Lose at Home, 3-1

Niskayuna and Savannah duked it out and the Fighting Knights came out victorious.
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights took Savannah pitcher Adam Monteleone's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Alpines Stadium. The final score had Niskayuna getting past the Alpines, 3-1. Monteleone went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 5. Jesus Garcia earned the win for Niskayuna. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 6-0.
Niskayuna used the hitting of Alex Marquez to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Fighting Knights on top, 3-1. For the game, Marquez had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Niskayuna manager Jonathan Anderson said.
The triumph puts Niskayuna at 53-51 for the season.
