Anaheim Falters Again, Loses, 7-3, to Mt. Vernon

The Mt. Vernon Cyclones picked up a win at Music Grove, dropping the Anaheim Music, 7-3. Lorenzo Guerra, who leads the SL2 in innings pitched with 135.0, was the difference-maker. The losing skid has reached 10 games for Anaheim.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Joe Collins? The Mt. Vernon third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 5-1. For the game, Collins had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Ed Arroyo. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."
