The Montgomery Missions got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Gentry, but the Wichita Panthers still won the game, 5-4. Gentry threw 7.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Zack Scott earned the save for Wichita, his 5th. The loss makes Montgomery 41-35.

Wichita used the timely hitting of George Gericke to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Panthers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning never gets dull," said Gericke.
