Missions Topple Fighting Knights, 5-2

Montgomery pitcher Leonardo Vazquez had a large part in his team subduing the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The save went to Jeff O'Donovan, his 19th this season. The 4th-place Fighting Knights dropped to 43-53.
The Missions got a big at-bat from first baseman C.J. Morgen. For the game, Morgen was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Montgomery a 4-0 lead.
Morgen called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
