Miners Take Shellacking, Lose 14-2
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers used an offensive barrage to beat the Carson City Miners, 14-2, at Miners Ballpark. Noah Kurtz led the way, going 4-for-5 for Santa Barbara. The win puts Santa Barbara at 63-34 this season.

Dave Puskas helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he hit a 2-2 changeup from Miguel Moya for a 2-run double, to give Santa Barbara a 2-0 lead.

"Not much to say," Carson City manager Nate West said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
