Sikeston Gets 8-6 Win
At Car Ramrod Park, the Santa Barbara Super Troopers and Sikeston Shamrocks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Getting offensive support from Allen Douglass, the Sikeston Shamrocks topped the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 8-6. Douglass was 3-3 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Shamrocks. Tim Suttle earned the save for Sikeston, his 1st.

Douglass had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh, when he hit a run-scoring triple. The Shamrocks went on to win.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Douglass, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

Sikeston, at 51-21, holds down second place in the Sub League 2 Central Division.
