Panthers Lose, 5-4, at Ballpark of Spring Park

Wichita right fielder Tommy Johnson had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Spring Park at Ballpark of Spring Park. Johnson belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Spring Park reliever Shigeru Nakamura, now 1-0. The loser was Edward Southey. Frank Cabrera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
Spring Park took a 5-3 lead on Juan Moya's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Moya hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Wichita pitcher Ben Abbate visibly frustrated.
After the game, Spring Park manager Noah Lute applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
At 37-61, the Green Knights claim last place in the Sub League 2 Central Division.
