Sikeston first baseman John Billings had a good game, even if his team did not. The Shamrocks dropped a 4-3 decision to Santa Barbara at Car Ramrod Park. Billings went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Isaiah Timmons earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Santa Barbara is now 74-20, 19 games up in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

Santa Barbara got a clutch hit from Eric Propper. The first baseman launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
