Guerra Hits 2 home runs in Cyclones Win
|
The 4-2 Mt. Vernon win over Savannah was due in large part to Juan Guerra. The Cyclones center fielder went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mike Garst picked up the save, his 1st. Mt. Vernon now has a record of 38-33 with the win.
Early in the game, Guerra had a 2-run home run for Mt. Vernon. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cyclones on top, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Mt. Vernon manager Dan McClure. "It's usually not just one thing."
