Behind a solid performance from center fielder Alejandro Morales, the Carson City Miners defeated the Spring Park Green Knights, 11-6. Morales slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Miners. Carlos Flores got the save, the 4th for him this season. Carson City, at 58-36, holds down first place in the Sub League 2 East Division.

Morales had a key at-bat for Carson City in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and gave Carson City an early 3-0 lead.
