Matt Duval was instrumental in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Niskayuna Fighting Knights. The shortstop was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs for the Sikeston Shamrocks. Sikeston, at 53-35, holds down second place in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

Duval had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Shamrocks went on to win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Duval.
