Fighting Knights Upend Cyclones, 8-1
Niskayuna Fighting Knights starter Carlos Corona had all his pitches working at Mt. Vernon Grounds. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Niskayuna win over the Mt. Vernon Cyclones. At 33-32, the Fighting Knights find themselves in second place in the Sub League 2 East Division.

Niskayuna used a well-timed hit by Soini Huhtinen to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Fighting Knights ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Said losing manager Dan McClure: "We need to play with more of an edge."
