Wranglers left fielder Joe Bronson put his stamp on his team's 12-10 win over the Wichita Panthers. Bronson was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Newport News in the contest. Getting the save was Jim Unknown, his 1st. Newport News goes to 36-50, Wichita to 46-40.

Bronson made an early impact for Newport News when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Wranglers on top, 10-1.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Bronson.
