Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Sikeston Shamrocks and Montgomery Missions.

The Sikeston Shamrocks picked up a win at Missions Grove, taking down the Montgomery Missions, 10-3. Starting pitcher Israel Parez was a big reason why. In 7.1 innings, Parez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs.

Josh Flowers was vital to the Sikeston win. He was 1-4 with a walk. In the top of the fourth with one out, Flowers hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, in favor of the Shamrocks.

"Not one of our better nights," said Montgomery skipper Hoa Nguyen-Dinh.

Sikeston has a record of 52-34, placing them second in the Sub League 2 Central Division.
