Shamrocks Upend Missions, 2-1

Sikeston right-hander Rich Bryan helped his team edge Montgomery by the score of 2-1. Bryan kept the opposing lineup in check. Daniel Hernandez, credited with the save, is now 21 for 23 in save opportunities. The second-place Shamrocks lifted their record to 51-34.
John Billings had a big solo home run for the Shamrocks in the top of the fourth inning. With Sikeston leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Jerry Carmona, who is tied for 2nd in the SL2 in saves with 17, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Shamrocks on top, 2-0.
Billings told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."
