Gonzales Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Newport News
The Newport News Wranglers had to overcome a big game from Anaheim center fielder Jorge Gonzales to leave Wranglers Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 11-10. Gonzales hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Jonathan Aubry notched his 20th save in 20 chances. The third-place Music have dropped 5 straight games.

Sean Hardin, who leads the SL2 in triples with 5, helped out the Newport News cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2.
