Hirsch Powers Missions Offense
The Montgomery Missions defeated the Sikeston Shamrocks, 10-7, in part because of right fielder Kyle Hirsch. Hirsch went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Missions. Javier Perez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. The win gives Montgomery a season record of 54-30.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Missions grabbed the lead when Hirsch hit his 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ken Scanlon made it 10-7, Montgomery.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Hirsch.
