The Montgomery Missions got great pitching from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Gentry, allowing them to bump off the Savannah Alpines, 5-0. The Missions move to 33-29 with the win, while the Alpines drop to 29-33.

Gentry allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings for the Missions. He walked 0 and struck out 10.

"Mike did exactly what you're supposed to, pounding the zone," said Montgomery manager Hoa Nguyen-Dinh.
