The Sikeston Shamrocks beat the Wichita Panthers, 8-3. Sikeston pitcher and Grissom AFB, Indiana, native Tom Donnelly led the way. Donnelly, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The Shamrocks improved to a lofty 44-16.

Sikeston used a big swing from Rob McCoy to get the win. The designated hitter walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shamrocks up, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
