Behind the bravura of first baseman Rogelio Rodriguez, the Montgomery Missions topped the Sikeston Shamrocks by the score of 13-3. Rodriguez was 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 4 runs for the Missions. Josh Howard, who is tied for 10th in the SL2 in wins with 5, was the winner. He's now 5-4. The loser was Bobby Santiago. With the win, Montgomery pushed its record to 31-28.

Paul Adam had a big bases-clearing double for the Missions in the top of the first inning. With Montgomery leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Santiago and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Missions ahead, 4-0.

Rodriguez told a Montgomery Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
