The Sikeston Shamrocks topped the Montgomery Missions, 4-2, in Sub League 2 action at Shamrocks Park. The standout performance belonged to Sikeston pitcher and Jersey City, New Jersey, native Mike Reich. The first-place Shamrocks have won 8 consecutive games.

Sikeston took a 4-1 lead on Mike Hydo's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Hydo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montgomery pitcher Marco Canas visibly frustrated.

Hydo called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
