Riding the 4-hit performance of the 20-year old right fielder Damien Przybylski, the Mt. Vernon Cyclones defeated the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 6-1. Mt. Vernon starter Mike Crain was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The win elevated the Cyclones to 32-27.

Brad Reynolds, the Mt. Vernon third baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to make the score 4-0, Cyclones. For the game, Reynolds went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Cyclones manager Dan McClure.
