Big Day for Gomez in 7-5 Super Troopers Win
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers defeated the Anaheim Music, 7-5, in part because of first baseman Reed Gomez. Gomez was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Super Troopers. Curtis Spears earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 5 innings. His record is now 3-0. J.J. Mendenhall sewed up the save, his 2nd.

In the top of the third, Gomez had a 2-run home run for Santa Barbara. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Super Troopers on top, 2-0.
