Missions Grove played host to some exciting baseball.

Montgomery beat Niskayuna at Missions Grove, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to catcher J.R. Chambers. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Montgomery leads the Sub League 2 East Division by 5½ games.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Montgomery trailing 5-3, Chambers jumped on a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Esquibel and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Missions had a walk-off win.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Chambers told the Montgomery Times.
