Cyclones Win 4-3 Nail-Biter Versus Air Riders
The Mt. Vernon Cyclones did just enough to nip the South Pasadena Air Riders, 4-3, in 13 innings. Mt. Vernon center fielder Kyle Resko, in particular, had a standout performance. Jesse Eves, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Mt. Vernon has a record of 30-24, placing them first in the Sub League 2 East Division.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 13th, 20-year old right fielder Damien Przybylski had a chance to be the hero. South Pasadena pitcher Jorge Jacome had other ideas. But with no outs, Przybylski hit a sacrifice fly. The Cyclones had themselves a dramatic win.

"I like what I saw today," said Mt. Vernon manager Dan McClure, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
