Music Even Record with 6-5 Victory
|
Despite a great performance by Spring Park third baseman Travis Griffin, the Anaheim Music defeated the Green Knights by the score of 6-5 at Ballpark of Spring Park. Griffin was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Josh Van Nice, the winner, improved to 4-4. He held Spring Park to 3 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Miguel Martinez got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Anaheim took the lead, 4-3, on Phil Henderson's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Spring Park pitcher Carlos Ochoa in the top of the seventh.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Henderson said after the game.
The triumph puts Anaheim at 39-39 for the season.
