Don Hutchison helped his team muscle past the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, 7-5. In the game, the Montgomery right fielder went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Montgomery reliever Jake Bell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Corneles Manolas took the loss. Luis Garcia finished to wrap up his 9th save.

Mario Garcia went 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Montgomery. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Gabe Pena. It was his 14th walk of the season.

"It's good to win," Garcia told the Montgomery Daily News. "I like to have fun doing it."

With the win over Niskayuna, the Missions improved to 30-25.
