With Late Score, Fighting Knights Beat Sunrays
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights and Ontario Sunrays played an entertaining game for Sunrays Field patrons.

The Niskayuna Fighting Knights withstood a good performance by Ontario shortstop Chris Travis to knock off Ontario, 6-5, in 10 innings. Travis went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Oscar Garcia in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Brock Richardson took the loss.

Nate Fard was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Niskayuna. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Fard had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ontario hurler Brock Richardson, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Fighting Knights a 6-5 lead.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Fard.

The 5th-place Fighting Knights lifted their record to 32-44.
