Shamrocks Lose Big to Cyclones, 10-0
The Mt. Vernon Cyclones beat the Sikeston Shamrocks, 10-0, at Shamrocks Park. Mt. Vernon second baseman Li-ren Ning had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. The third-place Cyclones have won 6 in a row.

Mt. Vernon designated hitter Jose Rodriguez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 3-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Sikeston manager William Antczak. "They pounded us."
