Slumping Music Lose Again
|
The first-place Carson City Miners picked up another win.
The Carson City Miners picked up a win at Miners Ballpark, knocking off the Anaheim Music, 6-2. On the mound for Carson City was right-hander Bill Guerrero. He played a key role in the triumph. Guerrero, now 7-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.
The Miners got a big at-bat from left fielder Alejandro Morales. For the game, Morales was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Carson City a 2-0 lead.
"I executed the game plan," said Guerrero.
The Miners lead the Sub League 2 East Division by 4 games.
