Big Day for Lindauer: Swats 5 Hits
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Rob Lindauer said his club's tilt with the Sikeston Shamrocks "felt almost like batting practice." The 21-year-old left fielder went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Savannah Alpines, who were topped by the Shamrocks, 8-4.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Alpines manager Ryan Allen said. "Sometimes Rob is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose."

Rob Lindauer doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Currently Lindauer is batting .486 with 17 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 2 runs and scored 5 times.
