Kinsella Leads Shamrocks to 8-2 Win Over Missions
|
Spirited fans greeted the Montgomery Missions for their clash with the Sikeston Shamrocks.
Andrew Kinsella knocked in 4 runs to help Sikeston beat Montgomery, 8-2. Kinsella produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Sikeston has now won 3 straight, while the Missions have lost 4 in a row.
A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Shamrocks sent 20-year-old left fielder Jose Yenores to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Sikeston on top, 3-1.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Yenores.
